Job Mela at Colleges
Action Points –
Companies
1. Registration of
Companies both Online & Inperson
(decision should be taken to encourage Spot Registration of Companies)
2. Segregation of these
Companies as per Educational Requirements Viz., Degree, PU, Diploma,
Engineering, SSLC etc.,
3. Dividing College
Rooms, Auditoriums etc., as per Sl.No.2
4. Allotting Rooms
accordingly
5. Informing
participating Companies a day in advance about
place of allotment/Room Nos etc.,. A Chart should be displayed at the Entrance of
the College
6. A Volunteer at every
Room
7. Each Volunteer
should know which are the Companies he/she has to take care & should take attendance of the HRs
participating in the Prescribed Format –
i. Sl.No.
ii. Name of the Company
iii. Company Website
iv. Company Contact No. & email ID
v. Representing HRs Name – Designation –
Contact No. & Email ID
8. Each Volunteer
should assist the Companies in display of Banners etc., at the place of
Interview, also providing Drinking
Water, Food etc.,
9. Each HRs should be
provided with separate Water Bottles
10. Each HRs should
list out -
i. Name of the Student,
ii. Education,
iii. Name of the College,
iv. Contact No. & email Id,
v. Selected or Not,
vi. if selected - Salary, etc., in a prescribed
format
11. Prescribed Formats of these in A4 Sheets should be supplied to each
HRs by respective Volunteers before the commencement of Job Drive.
12. Reporting Time for HRs between 8.30 am & 9.30 am
13. Volunteers at
Gate/Entrance to guide them to their respective allotted
place & also show the way to
Restrooms.
14.
Better to serve Breakfast/Lunch/Coffee-Tea to these HRs at their work place itself.
15. A Dustbin Bags at
every Corridor or Room
16. After finishing the
Drive, Volunteers should escort HRs to the Principal &
submit the signed list of selected
students.
17. Volunteers should
be there to assist this with Principal
18. A Thanking Note to
these HRs from Principal etc.,
19.
Follow Up with these companies till they issue Appointment Letters
20.
Only those companies who are sure of giving an Appointment Letters should be
allowed to conduct Job Drive.
Action
Points – Job Seekers/Candidates
1.Job Seekers should register
their names online a day before
2.Job Seekers can also
register their names in person on the day of Job Drive
3.They should carry atleast 5
sets of their Resumes, if they are appearing for multiple companies
4.They
should wear Dress suitable for Interviews.
5.They should attend
Interviews as per their Educational Qualifications
6.They should be ready to
make own arrangements for extra copies of their Resumes, food, transport etc.,
(unless provided free at the venue)
Action
Points – for Colleges
1.Date of Job Drive should be
notified atleast 3 to 4 weeks in advance
2.Registration for Companies
should start immediately
3.Registration for Students
should start immediately
4.Approval from the Guest to
Inaugurate should be taken early
5.A flyer – mentioning
details of the College, Sponsors, date-place & time of the Job Mela, Contact
nos for both Companies & Job Seekers etc., should start circulating
immediately
6.A Video about the same,
should also be prepared & circulated
7.An Audio about the same,
should also be prepared & circulated
8.Committees for the
following should be constituted (Team of Faculties & Non-Teaching Staff)
i. Organizing Core Committee –
to oversee right from the beginning till the results are announced
ii. Company Registration &
Allotment Committee – To contact Companies, get their registrations, allotting places
for them & informing & guiding Companies to their allotted places etc.,
iii. Students Registration &
Guiding Committee – To campaign amongst students of their college and also
students of all other colleges, thru online as well as visiting neighbouring
colleges
iv. Volunteers Committee – Should
Identify from second & first year students – both boys & girls. They
should be well informed & trained to guiding the companies as well the Job
seekers to the respective places, providing food & water, etc., etc.,
v. Food Committee – should take
of the food including Breakfast, Lunch & High Tea to both Companies &
Job Seekers. A separate arrangement should be made. Also to take care of the
leftovers by keeping enough Dustbins, etc., at every corner, to give importance
to Cleanliness, Hygiene, bringing it to the notice of the Job Seekers &
Companies etc.,
vi. Rooms Allotment Committee –
should allot companies as per their educational requirements, Display of the
same at the entrance of the College as well, at every Room, should assist
companies to display their banners etc.,
vii. Welcoming Committee – should see
every Guest, Companies, Media Persons are received with Bouquets/Mementos etc.,,
Thanks giving Letters at the end, collecting Job Drive statistics from every
participating companies, collecting attendance of the Companies etc.,
viii. Media Committee –
should take Photos of every event of the day,
should inform Media Personnel’s well in advance, should give a report at the
end of the day about no. of participating Companies, job seekers & selected
students list and give vide publicity of the Job Drive as well as outcome.
ix. Any other Committee as per
the need of the College.
